CASE the Catalogue: Wishing You Well (Lasting Lily)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, are you ready for another CASE the Catalogue card?  If you have never heard of this term it means, Copy And Share Everything.  It’s a fantastic way to inspire or challenge yourself to try something a little different.  All you need to remember to do is give credit to the original artist.  Today’s card is a fairly faithful recreation of a card featured in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  A few things inspired me – the colour palette (I never use yellows as the main feature of my cards), the use of the gingham paper, and the way lilies pop out of the centre circle.

The stamps used to create this card are from the Lasting Lily stamp set.  This is a beautiful set which is perfect for those harder times in life as there are many Sympathy type sentiments.

Here’s the card…

Truthfully, if I was to make this card again there are a number of things I would do differently.  I’d like to pop up the entire gingham panel and maybe even pop up all three lilies (for this card, I popped up the biggest lily).  I’d move the sentiment strip lower down so it wasn’t so centred in the middle of the card.  And this, right here, is another benefit of CASE-ing – you learn things you like and want to try again with new projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
