Hi, today’s card will appeal to those of you who love to fussy cut. Years ago, I did *not* like to fussy cut. Gradually, I actually found it to be quite a relaxing practice. With more and more coordinating dies becoming available the need to fussy cut isn’t necessarily there but it is still something I quite enjoy. Whilst we can fussy cut out our stamped images, we can also cut out images from our Designer Series Paper and build cards around these items.
I’m using the really fun Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper for this card. I love the super cute critters on this paper. (This paper will be retiring when the new catalogue is launched so if you love it too, now is the time to get some). This idea is a really good one for those papers where you might consider it to be a little too busy. You can simply cut out the elements which are of interest to you.
The idea behind today’s card was to create the effect of a Polaroid image with all the little creatures hanging out together. I got a little carried away though…as sometimes happens. I really love this idea and I am definitely going to try this design again in the future.
Here’s the card…
Aren’t those critters from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper super cute? I love creating cards with critters as they can be used for just about any occasion and for masculine cards as well, and we all know they aren’t the easiest audience to create for. If you use your decorative paper in a similar way, I’d love to see it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!
Listed below are the supplies used to create the above project. If the stamp set comes in different types (such as clear mount and wood mount) or as a bundle, I link to all.
