Happy Birthday (Label Me Bold / Tropical Oasis Memories & More)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, today I have another sneak peek of items coming on 3 January 2020 in the January to June 2020 Mini Catalogue.  I’ve used the Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack.  It’s filled with gorgeous imagery and the cards are great for those of you who like Pocket Scrapbooking, but they are also a really good way to make quick and easy cards.  You can also step them up a bit like I’ve done here if you prefer something with a little more dimension.

To create the card I’ve used Crumb Cake Cardstock to form the card base.  On top of this, I’ve layered a panel of paper from the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.  Before attaching the paper, I’ve inked around the edges with Early Espresso ink.  Next, I took a card from the Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  This step is optional but I thought it gave the card a little more interest.  I added two lengths of Jute to the underside of the card and then popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next up, I took the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set and stamped it in Crumb Cake ink.  I tried a few different colours and they all looked good so choose the one which works for you.  I cut the stamped piece apart and adhered it with my Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  The final touch was to add some Wink of Stella to the pineapple!  Voila! The card is finished.

Here’s the card…

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Hi Kylie:

I think I’m confused about this pineapple and leaf. I have the stamp set and dies, but I’m trying to figure out how you got the image on the card unless you just used the dies and then inked it in. Also the plant leaf I’m not seeing in the dies or the stamps. It’s a darling card and I’d really like to make it.

Hi Jan, thanks for your message. This is one of those super simple cards where I have used a preprinted Memories & More card. All I did was add the sentiment and a bit of ribbon. You can see the Memories & More cards here: https://www3.stampinup.com/ecweb/product/151255/tropical-oasis-memories-and-more-card-pack?dbwsdemoid=4016100. They are super fun to craft with! 🙂 Thanks for the sweet words too! I really appreciate it! 🙂
