Happy Birthday (Ornate Style / Peaceful Moments)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, the new Ornate Style stamp set was calling for me to use it again.  This time I’ve used the main floral image as a background rather than as the main focal point.  I stamped the image repeatedly with Versamark over a Pool Party cardstock base.  This was then heat-embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss powder.  Once this was done I took a Pool Party Stampin’ Write marker and scribbled some ink onto an acrylic block.  With my Aqua Painter, I took some of this colour and painted sections of the background to give it a little more interest.

Next up I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set on a small panel of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I stamped a smaller flower image in the centre of this panel. Use a Post-It note to mask this image and stamp the flower again on both sides.

I used Memento to stamp the flowers and the sentiment.  I had to be careful to not use too much water when colouring the images not adding some random spots of watercolour, as this ink WILL bleed if you aren’t careful.

Here’s the Card…

This is actually a card design I’ve used before.  I think it is super sweet and I love how the background looks with this technique.  So soft and pretty!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
