I am Thankful for You (Painted Harvest / Faux Patina Background)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, I was recently given a sweet gift by one of my dearest friends.  Of course, I had to send her a thank you card to tell her how much I appreciated both the gift and her friendship.  I decided to use the background I created using the Faux Patina Technique and combine it with stamps from the Painted Harvest stamp set as it hadn’t seen much love recently.  You can find step by step instructions on how I created the background here.

To finish the card, I stamped all of the images on Very Vanilla cardstock and then fussy cut them out one the flowers and one style of leaves.  The other leaves were punched out using the Leaf Punch.  I used the Pretty Label Punch for the sentiment.   I did use a touch of Wink of Stella on the flowers but you need to be really careful as it can spread the ink around.

Here’s the Card…

Hopefully, my friend loves it just as much as I love our friendship.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie

I wish I had the talent, and the time to use new/fun techniques like this, Kylie. That brick wall looks amazing!! They look like you’ve stolen a portion of someone’s garden wall and attached it to your card, lol!! And those flowers are perfect against it. I’ll bet your friend loved this card…I know I do! You are always an inspiration to me. I wish we could spend time and craft together! xoxoxo

Well you definitely have the talent! The time I can’t help with (although it really doesn’t take long). Hope John is going as well as he can. Let’s schedule a FT for a couple of weeks. I’m glad it actually looks like a garden wall as that was what I was picturing in my head. You never know if it is going to translate to paper. Lol. Big hugs. Let’s talk soon. Xx
