Hi everyone! After creating my first capybara-themed birthday card using the adorable Lawn Fawn Capybara and Capybara Add-On sets, I mentioned I had a bunch of extra stamped and coloured images ready to go. Today, I’m excited to share what became of them!
Rather than making exact duplicates, I decided to mix things up slightly to give each card its own charm. While the overall vibe is consistent, each scene has its own story.
Same Stamps, New Scenes
One card features a meandering river where capybaras are taking a celebratory swim. Another places the party along a forest trail with sweet oranges or yuzu scattered around. The final card revisits the original water theme but with a slightly different layout for a fresh feel.
This is one of my favourite things about scene building—once the stamping and colouring are done, it’s like playing with puzzle pieces. You can create so many different looks just by rearranging the elements or adjusting the ink-blended backgrounds.
And remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg! I didn’t even use all the images from the Capybaras! stamp set—and that’s before you start mixing in other sets. You can also change up your ink blending for the sky, grass, lake or winding path. There are so many creative possibilities to explore!

A Quick Tip
If you have the time and inclination, go ahead and stamp, colour, and die-cut a whole batch of images. It makes follow-up cards like these so much faster (and super satisfying to put together)!
I hope these cards bring a smile to your face—and maybe spark an idea for stretching your own supplies. If you’d like to see the first card that started it all, check out the original post here.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
