Hi everyone, the Sale-A-Bration catalogue is, once again, our source of inspiration for today’s card. The samples for the Friendly Hello bundle are gorgeous and to be honest, I want to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) most of them so I am.
To create this card, make a card base from Thick Basic White cardstock. Layer on a piece of the gorgeous patterned paper from the Friendly Hello paper pack. I then die cut some Vellum using Stitched Rectangles as I wanted to be able to see the majority of the patterned paper but it needed a bit of separation from the floral image.
The floral image is fun too because it has been fussy cut from a piece of the Friendly Hello paper pack and I’ve stamped on it with images from the Friendly Hello stamp set. Don’t you just love it when things coordinate perfectly like this?!
As I need to make quite a few birthday cards this year, I used the lovely “Hope you have the best birthday” stamp (also from the Friendly Hello stamp set) and stamped it in Fresh Freesia ink. I then die cut it using a die from the Hippo Friends dies.
To assemble the card I first worked out where I would be placing my floral image and then put adhesive on the vellum in those places so that it didn’t show through. Next, I added a folded over piece of Fresh Freesia ribbon. I layered the floral image over the top and then popped up the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch was to add a few of the Fresh Freesia jewels from the 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels pack to finish off the card.
Here’s the card…
This is another of those cards which have a versatile design. You could easily adapt it to fit other stamp sets and patterned papers. I had such fun making it. Mind you, I pretty much always have fun making cards. haha
