Do Something Creative (Crafting Forever)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, it’s a long weekend here in Melbourne (yay!) so I am planning to craft all weekend long.  Well, as much of it as possible.  The thought of crafting all weekend is such a fun one and it made me think of the Crafting Forever stamp set which I haven’t used in forever, well, a long time anyway.  What I love about this stamp set is that it ties in perfectly with the new Follow Your Art Suite.  So, that’s what I did for this card.  I used the Crafting Forever stamp set and tied it in with the patterned paper from the Follow Your Art suite.

If you are a person who has trouble with colour selection, using patterned paper can be such a help!  If you look at the packaging the paper comes in it usually has a breakdown of the colours featured.  You can then select those colours for use in your project.  It makes things so EASY!

You’ll notice I used Blushing Bride Bakers Twine to finish off my project.  This isn’t something in the current range.  I dyed it myself using the Ink Refills.  I LOVE this technique.  It enables you to always have coordinating ribbons and twine.

Here’s the Card…

The sentiment is pretty cool, isn’t it?  The full sentiment is actually “Do Something Creative Every Day” which I LOVE and certainly try to do.  I wanted to use the label die from the Stitched Labels die set and it was too narrow to fit the entire sentiment.  I simply masked off the “every day” portion and it fitted perfectly!

I hope you all make time to craft this weekend!   I’d love to hear what you are creating so feel free to drop me a note or a picture!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
