For You (Stampin’ Up!)

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

The new Birthday Blooms stamp set is SO FUN and so versatile! I’ve been loving using this set and cannot seem to put it down.  I’d like to share a few more cards using this stamp set – ideas which are quite different from the first setof cards I posted in the last blog post. The four cards are all very similar but I hope they will show you how you can easily achieve a different look by changing only a couple of things.

For the first card, I have simply stamped the flower image a few times and coloured them using Copic Markers. I then popped this panel up onto a card base along which I had placed a strip of the It’s My Party Designer Washi Tape. So simple but so effective!

Here’s the card….

Dear Friend Materials used: Stamps – Birthday Blooms (Stampin’ Up!), Lunar Animals (Mama Elephant); Washi Tape – It’s My Party Designer Washi Tape (Stampin’ Up!); Copic Markers and Wink of Stella.

The second card is very similar in design however I stamped the flowers on the opposite side and used a different sentiment. Instead of using the washi tape, I used the brand new (and super gorgeous!) Metallics Glitter Tape in silver. (The Metallics Glitter tape is one of the NEW FREE Sale-A-Bration goodies which is only available from 16th February, 2016 until 31st March, 2016 with purchases over AUD90.00).

The next card shows yet another variation – a different colour scheme, the addition of patterned paper in place of the washi or glitter tape.

The final card I am showing looks a little more fancy and I confess it took a little more time than the other cards. I stamped the flowers where I wanted them and then masked them off using post-it notes. I then sponged coloured ink over the design in the desired places. After removing the mask, I continued colouring the images like I had done for the other cards. The centre panel is popped up and finished with a sentiment embossed on black cardstock and punched with the Banner Triple Punch. It looks more complicated than it actually is. Such a fun look.
