Have a Perfect Birthday (Blessings of Home)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, now that you’ve had a chance to see the new catalogue, what do you think? So many awesome new goodies, right?! And how fabulous are all the cards and projects?! So good! So inspiring!

Today, I want to share a card featuring the beautiful Blessings from Home stamp set from the new January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. This stamp set is gorgeous and I know I am going to get a lot of use out of it. It’s particularly fun if you love to colour – but even if you don’t, I think you’ll still enjoy creating with this set.

The card is based on a design I use ALL the time! It’s particularly good with floral images. If you ever get stuck for ideas with how to create using a floral image, try this design.

Start by stamping the main floral image all over a Basic White cardstock panel. You can either colour the floral image first or the background first. It doesn’t matter. I started by colouring in the background with a Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker. Next, I coloured the pink flowers with Flirty Flamingo and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends. The leaves were coloured with the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The small flowers were coloured with Pool Party and the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Finally, the yellow images were coloured with So Saffron and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. It was so fun! I found it so relaxing! Of course, I had to add a coat of Wink of Stella to the flowers too.

Next, I cut and folded a Basic Black card base then trimmed the coloured panel to size and adhered it down with Seal adhesive.

For the sentiment, I stamped it in Versamark and then Gold heat-embossed it. I then trimmed it into a strip and snipped the words apart. As I wanted a little more bling, I took a short length of Gold Trim and pulled it apart. I attached the individual threads to the card with a Glue Dot. Once they were in place, I popped up the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch was to add a few of the Gilded Gems.

Here’s the card…

Sometimes I share cards which I don’t 100% LOVE but I still hope something about the card will inspire or educate others, but I have to confess that I really love this card. I love the colours of the images and the simplicity of the design.

If you are inspired to create this card, or something similar, you can find all the things you need in my online store.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!
