Introducing Jake

Jake

Hi, sorry I haven’t been uploading any new content for a few days but I promise I have a very good reason.  Last Friday was my birthday – no, that isn’t the reason – but the present I received is the reason for my absence.  As regular readers of my blog would know, I lost my border collie Zac in February this year.  It’s been devastating.  He was my little buddy.

I started looking at puppies because they are cute little things and I wanted to see happy puppies.  About 5 weeks ago, I came across a picture of one little guy in need of a home.  Before I knew what had happened, I was writing to the breeder explaining my situation and asking for more information about the available puppy.  Not long after exchanging some messages with her about this puppy, I may have commented to her, “I think he needs to be mine” and she, luckily for me, agreed.

I had to wait until he was 9 weeks old before he could come home as he had to be flown from Tasmania to Victoria, which as you might imagine, is a pretty big deal to a puppy.  Jake arrived home on Friday and basically turned my world upside down.  He’s absolutely adorable with a huge personality.  Neither of us got much sleep the first night, but each night he gets more and more settled…and we both get a little more sleep.  Let’s hope this continues!

Introducing Jake…

Jake

Jake

I have to say I love Jake already.  He’s gorgeous, of course, and smart.  I have started training him at home. He begins puppy class next month.  It will be so good for him.  I am really looking forward to seeing how he grows and I am hopeful he will be my little crafting buddy in time…which might be a while from now as he currently chews everything he can reach.

OnStage and the Retiring List

Stampin’ Up! hosted their biannual OnStage event for Demonstrators this past Saturday. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend as I knew Master Jake would be with me by then.  At this event, Demonstrators are recognised for their achievements, plus the new Annual Catalogue is revealed to them.  It is a wonderful event (and I hope I am able to attend the next one in November.  If you’d like to come along too, please consider joining my team).  Those of us who were unable to attend will find out all about the new items this coming week.  Pus, the Retiring List will also be made available.  This list features the products which will not be available when the new Catalogue is launched.  I will let you know what items have made the list as soon as it is known.  Many of these items will sell out very quickly, for example, the 2016-2018 In-Colour Re-inkers, so please do not delay if there is something you’ve had your eye on.  I’d hate for you to miss out.  Also, I’d encourage you to look at the bundles.  Some items do carry over into the new catalogue but the bundle price (10% discount) does not.

It’s way too quiet outside so I had better go and check what my mischievous puppy is up to!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie

Oh thank you so much, Laurel! He’s a handful but I love him to pieces already! Whilst I love his bouncy nature, I really cannot wait til he is my buddy lying at my feet while I craft…and not trying to eat my feet (or anything else near him) any chance he gets. haha Thank you!
