Hi everyone! I was so happy to get my hands on the retired Level Complete stamp set by Stampin’ Up! recently. I picked it up second-hand and thought it would be perfect for making birthday cards for teenagers. After playing around with it, I’ve realised it’s a great choice for any gamer, young or young at heart!
Designing the Card
For this card, I wanted to create something fun and playful with a teen in mind. The background was stamped repeatedly with the controller button icons to build a subtle base. Layering the controllers and trophy images helped bring the scene to life. The sentiment “Achievement Unlocked” combined with “Leveled Up!”, “Happy Birthday” and “+1” ties it all together in a fun birthday message.
TIP: Before committing to stamping the sentiments on your project, use a stamping tool like the Misti or Stamparatus. Ink the stamps and try stamping on plastic or acetate first so you can ensure you are happy with the placement.

Colour Combinations…
When colouring some of my stamped images, I like to create colour reference charts for future reference. Sometimes it takes me a while to work out what colours I want to use, and I also don’t want to reinvent the wheel next time I use this set. I print out a sheet from my Colouring Combinations Printable (which you can find in my Ko-fi store), stamp the images in question, and then record my colour combinations. I store these sheets with the stamp set itself, but you could always keep them in a binder if you prefer.
This card was such fun to make. If you ever spot Level Complete on the resale market, I definitely recommend snapping it up, especially if there is a teenager or gamer in your life!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!
