May Good Things Grow All Year Long (Dragonfly Garden)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, as I sat down to create today’s card I had to admit my creative mojo was missing. After finally finishing my Christmas cards I just didn’t have an ounce of creativity left. So, what do I do when the mojo goes missing? Head to the Stampin’ Up!® catalogues. I got to page 22 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and saw a pretty card which I thought would be fun to CASE (Copy And Share Everything). What I like most about this card is the sentiment! If you don’t celebrate Christmas, or you have missed the window to get them out, then maybe you’ll be thinking about a new year card. This could be just what you need.

The card features the Dragonfly Bundle. The Dragonfly Garden stamp and Dragonflies punch are also available separately. The sentiment used is the sweet “May Good Things Grow All Year Long”. Isn’t that lovely?!

To create the card, start with a card base made with Soft Succulent cardstock. Take another piece of Soft Succulent and trim it slightly smaller than the front of your card base. Next, run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with an embossing folder of your choice. I used the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. It’s so lovely!

Take a piece of patterned paper from the In The Wild Designer Series Paper pack and trim this so that you can angle it on your card front. You’ll need a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it so you can layer it on the centre of the patterned paper. Before you adhere this panel, stamp your sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. I recommend stamping before you adhere it in case you mess up the stamping.

Stamp the dragonfly in Fresh Freesia, Bumblebee and Evening Evergreen ink. Use the Dragonflies punch to punch them out.

Next up, add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the dragonflies and attach them to your card front. The final touch is to add some Elegant Faceted Gems to the card. I used White but Clear would look good too. (They look a little yellow in the photo but not in real life).

Here’s the card…

There’s so much inspiration in the Stampin’ Up!® catalogues and always the first place I turn when the mojo goes missing. As they are such a great resource, I always make sure to send them out to customers who have ordered with me in the previous 6 months. It’s just another way I like to thank people for supporting my business.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
