Season’s Greetings (Snowman Season / Penguin Place)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, today I am sharing a sweet and simple Christmas card. I had stamped the sweet little snowman from Snowman Season and coloured it in with Stampin’ Blends thinking I would use it for a particular project but ended up going in a different direction. I had also stamped and white heat embossed the snowflakes from this same Snowman Season stamp set on a card base and then used the Blending Brushes to add Pool Party over the entire background – but never used that either. They were both lying on my desk and I just had to make a card with them.

My next choice was to decide what colour to add to the card and Blushing Bride seemed perfect. It’s such a sweet combination. I die cut the snowman and a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the Layering Circles dies. I also white heat-embossed the sentiment (from the Penguin Place stamp set) and trimmed it to size.

I decided to pop up the focal piece and the sentiment but I felt like it needed something else. A small length of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Ribbon and the Mint Macaron Soft Velvet Ribbon seemed the perfect choice. I actually turned the Velvet Ribbon upside down as it was a little bit too bright for the card. The underside, however, looked great!

I finished the card by adding Wink of Stella to the snowman and the ground. I also added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the snowflakes. The final touch was to place a few of the sequins from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.

Here’s the card…

It’s such a darling card – and a little less yellow and grungy in real life. I had trouble with lighting when taking the picture. It was fun to make and I love the colour combination of the Pool Party and Blushing Bride! Do you like it too?

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!
