Hi everyone, don’t you love it when you come across a stamp set which is both super cute but which can be used in a variety of ways. The Warm & Toasty stamp set immediately made it on to my “must-have” list because of the adorable critters. As I looked at the images, I realised with a few little changes I could make the polar bear (or Eskimo Bear as my partner has now dubbed it) look like he was dancing. I had to give it a go and I love the outcome!
In order to achieve this look, I placed some removable tape over his skates (you could also use a post-it note) before inking the stamp. If you look carefully, you can see a hint of where the skates should be as I didn’t quite cover enough of the image. I decided to leave it though – they could be spikes so he doesn’t slip when he is dancing. haha
After stamping the image, I draw an iceberg (in the style of the stamps from Freezin’ Fun) so it looked like he was standing on it. Next up was to finish setting the scene. The trees from the Rooted In Nature were perfect to create a forest behind him. I used Stampin’ Blends to finish colouring the images. The little music notes came from another stamp in the set.
Below you can see the image of the stamp set I used. As you can see, by changing the orientation, masking some of the image, and adding movement marks, the bear has a different look and feel.

I didn’t really want to go ultra-Christmassy with this card, so I added a dotted patterned paper from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper pack. It’s a gorgeous blend of the Mossy Meadow (background) and Pear Pizzaz (dots) colours. I love it!
