Merry Christmas (Penny Black)

by Catherine Carroll

Hi Everyone,

Merry Christmas! I have finally finished my Christmas card creating for this year. Whilst it took me only a couple of minutes to choose the gorgeous Xmas Treat! Stamp from Penny Black to use on my card this year, it took me AGES to work out how I would like to use it. I have more than a few samples strewn across my desk! I finally settled on the design below and I am mostly very happy with it. It is rather plain and deceptively so because there is actually quite a lot of work involved. Loved every minute of it though, I must confess!

Here’s my card…

Merry Christmas Materials used: Stamps - Xmas Treat! 2230F (Penny Black), Joy to the Woods Snow Day (Lawn Fawn) and Merry Motifs (Paper Smooches); Dies - Decorative DD701 (KaiserCraft), Joy to the Woods, Stitched Hillside Borders (Lawn Fawn); Scan n Cut (Brother); Embossing Folder (Provo Craft); Project Life White Cards (Becky Higgins); Cardstock - American Crafts, Knights; Copic Markers; Hybrid Ink - Black Licorice (My Favorite Things); Hero Arts Shadow Ink - Soft Pool (Hero Arts); and Wink of Stella.

Merry Christmas

I haven’t been visiting in blog land for a while now due to many reasons but I hope to catch up with you all over the Christmas holidays! I think a pyjama day surfing blogs might be on the agenda! lol

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Hey girly! Merry Christmas to you! I was starting to worry about you, as you hadn’t been around for so long…Soooo glad to see you back in blogland! This is one sweet card, dear friend. That pup looks totally adorable. Love that embossing too. Lots and lots of work involved, but well worth it. Take good care and hope to see you soon. Blessed Christmas!!!!

Hello, sweet Kylie…So thrilled to see you sharing your amazing creativity with us. Your puppy and stocking Christmas scene is utterly adorable and so masterfully executed. I’ve enlarged it about 7 times already to drool over the lovely details. Your colouring is, as always, simply fantastic! THANK YOU for your sweet words about our situation with my dad. Recovering is…well, we just don’t know. Heavy hearts, but knowing you’re thinking of my family is deeply touching and so incredibly appreciated. MERRY CHRISTMAS, my friend…off to see what else of yours will bring a smile to my face.
Hugs~c
