Celebrate Today (Sailing Home / Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, guess what? I’ve finally moved and I’ve finally made some space, and some time, to craft.  It is AWESOME!  What happened when I first sat down to create is that I went completely blank.  Urgh!  All the time I’ve been wanting to create the ideas have been flowing but when I could…nothing.  I felt almost paralysed.  I messaged my friend Melissa who suggested I CASE something to get back into the swing of things!  What a great idea!!  Plus it reminded me of a post I wrote a while ago about things you can do to kick start the mojo.  It has lots of good ideas in it so I’ll share it again now as it might help you too.

You don’t need to look any further than the front of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue for my inspiration for today’s card.  I love the Come Sail Away Suite and I hadn’t used it before it ended up in a box. Not the best place for it to be.  I loved how the original card designer used the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack for the base.  It looks like it is layered, and you could certainly replicate this design with patterned paper and a die-cut shape if you wanted to.  The sentiment is actually stickers, also from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack.  These packs have so much in them – different sized cards, laser-cut cards and stickers.  They are great for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  I love them!

Here’s the Card…

So there you have it, my first card in ages.  It was fun to do and I am so looking forward to creating again.  What are you crafting with these days?  Are there any particular stamps/papers you would like to see me use?

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
