Hi everyone, the Forever Greenery suite is fast becoming one of my favourite things in the new catalogue (and yay, only a week to go before it launches!). I love everything in the suite, including the samples shared in the catalogue. Making an anniversary card for my parents was on my agenda so when I saw one of the samples I thought I would use it as inspiration for a sweet anniversary card. The basic design is the same as the catalogue sample but I have changed a few things. Most of the items I used for this card come from the Forever Greenery suite but I have paired it with a sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set as it seemed perfect for an anniversary card.
If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time you’d know that I love my card bases to have a little texture. One of my favourite ways to add texture is by using an Embossing Folder. The Subtle 3D Embossing folder is a long time favourite of mine, however, offering some competition is the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder. This texture is gorgeous! If you are like me, you will want to add this to your Wish List and pick it up on 3 June 2020.
Here’s the Card…
TIP: If you don’t have the right colour ribbon or twine to match your project, all you need to do is dye it. I added some Pear Pizzazz ink and water to a large acrylic block then mixed it. I then added my ribbon to the ink and once it was coloured, I removed the excess liquid and hung my piece up to dry. It’s such a great technique.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
Listed below are the supplies used to create the above project. If the stamp set, die set, etc, also comes a part of a bundle or suite, I link to all so that you have choices. I also link refills and basic supplies like adhesives which correspond with items used to make my projects. Clicking on these links will take you directly to my online store.
