Hi, one of the reasons I love sending out catalogues to my customers is that they are filled with inspiration. I know that sometimes we pick out a product and by the time it gets to us we cannot remember how we planned to use it (or is that just me?). Other times, we want to create but the mojo is missing. The catalogue is a great resource to turn to on those occasions. Find a card you like, pick out the supplies and CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it.

The current Sale-A-Bration catalogue is filled with so many gorgeous samples. I actually want to CASE quite a few of them. Yesterday I did a Facebook Live where we made the card featured on page 12 using the Textures & Frames stamp set (which could be yours for FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration). It also featured the Handsomely Suited stamp set and coordinating Suit & Tie die set. It was such a cool card and a perfect masculine card too. The cool thing about this card is that we used the Textures & Frames stamp set to create our own patterned paper. It was so simple and it looks so effective.

Two Masculine Cards using the Suit & Tie dies (CASE the Catalogue)

Hi everyone, today I am sharing two cards inspired by the samples in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. Whilst the Handsomely Suited stamp set and coordinating Suit & Tie die set is not retiring, the matching Well Suited Designer Series Paper is. Such a shame. This paper is perfect for masculine cards. EDIT: I’m sorry, this paper has now sold out.

The first card has been CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) directly from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. You can see the original design on page 66. It’s actually quite a simple process. Die-cut the different pieces and then adhere them onto a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Like in the sample, I added a small Rhinestone to the tie. I chose to forego a sentiment on the outside. You could definitely add one if you wanted to do so.

I had so much fun making the first card that I decided to make another one. This time I chose some different papers from the Well Suited Designer Series Paper pack. I think this second card is actually my favourite.

Which card is your favourite? Don’t you think the Suit & Tie dies are fabulous?! So unique! I am glad they will be sticking around for a little longer.

A Happy Birthday to You (Handsomely Suited)

Hi everyone, when thinking about my favourite technique for the StampingPals challenge this month, I confess I was torn between the Joseph’s Coat Technique and the Tailored Tag technique. In the end, the Joseph’s Coat Technique won, but I still couldn’t resist making another card using the Tailored Tag punch. I love these cards! I usually veer towards making more feminine cards but this time I decided to go for a masculine look. I used the Well Suited Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Handsomely Suited bundle (Handsomely Suited stamp set and Suit & Tie dies).

This is such an easy technique and if you’ve never seen it before, you are going to love it! All you need to do is punch out a heap of shapes and then adhere them to a panel of cardstock. I always start with a panel of cardstock which is the same size as my card front. I can then easily trim the edges and cut the panel to my preferred size. This panel was then attached to a Basic Grey cardstock base.

Moving on to the sentiment, my original idea had been to add a block and have a bow tie placed half on it and half off. I discarded that idea for this card as I thought it might have faded into the background. Instead, I stamped the sentiment (from the Handsomely Suited stamp set) and die cut the panel (using the Stitched Shapes dies) so that the bow tie could sit nicely above it.

I love this idea so much. It is fun and easy and looks so good. It’s perfect for feminine and masculine cards alike. Have I convinced you to give it a go? I hope so!

You’re the Best (Handsomely Suited) – CASE the Catalogue

Hi everyone, I know a lot of us struggle making masculine themed cards.  It is so easy to make pretty, feminine cards as the range and scope of stamps are so much broader.  If you struggle then you might be a fan of the Well Suited suite.  The Handsomely Suited stamp set has masculine themed sentiments such as “Have a Happy Father’s Day Handsome”, and “To One of the World’s Greatest Dads”.   There are other more general sentiments such as “A Happy Birthday to You”, “Thank You” and “You’re the Best” which can be used with any other stamp set too.  The coordinating die set called Suit & Tie Dies is so cool!  You can actually create suit coats, or shirts and suspenders.  Want a pocket? You can add that too.  It’s so fun! (The Handsomely Suited stamps and Suit & Tie dies can be purchased as a bundle for a 10% discount).  The Well Suited suite collection also contains twine but I have not used it for this card.

The card I am sharing today is CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue.  It is a really quick and easy card.  Could be used for any occasion.  All you need to do is stamp the bow ties on a range of different coloured papers (I used the Well Suited Designer Series Paper) and then die cut them.  Add them to a panel of patterned which you have die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies.  Stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade on this panel.  Add to another panel of patterned paper.  I then attached this to a Basic Black cardstock base.

It’s a great card, isn’t it?  I think this would be a fun one to create a few of to have in the stash.
