I Love You (Crazy Dogs / Crazy Talk / Crazy Things)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, it has been a while since I’ve shared anything new. My mojo went on a major vacation. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to create, I just couldn’t do anything. I’d sit at my craft table and just sit there doing nothing. I didn’t know where to begin. Nothing inspired me. I started looking through catalogues, scrolling Pinterest, revisiting cards my blogs, and still nothing. It was getting a little (okay, a lot!) frustrating! Yesterday, I unpacked a box of stamps. These stamps have been in storage since before I moved to WA in 2020! It was incredible going through them! Inside were stamps I had once used and adored. Other stamps – well, I wondered why I had bought them in the first place. As I flicked through them I came across the Crazy Dogs stamp set and immediately wanted to colour the images. Since I still owe Al a card for Valentine’s Day, making a card for him seemed like a good starting point.

I stamped and coloured the images I liked and then got stuck again. How do I turn them into a card? I have never had my mojo take a break like this before. I turned to Pinterest again and found this card by Nichol Spohr. It was just the sort of design I was after. So I pulled out some patterned paper (retired; Stampin’ Up!®), and cardstock and whipped up this card. I’m a little rusty but overall, I’m so happy with how it turned out.

Here’s the card…

So let’s talk about missing mojo, what do you do when your mojo takes a hike? How do you get back into the craft room and back to creating?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie

Thanks so much, Ruth! Feels good to have a card under my belt after struggling for so long! Here’s hoping things just ramp up from here! 😀
