Love You (Rainbow Builder Framelits)

Love You

Hi, who doesn’t love a rainbow? I do!  I see so many beautiful works of art with rainbows and rainbow colours but, for some unknown reason, I rarely think to use them when I am creating.  When I first saw the Rainbow Builder Framelits dies in the Occasions catalogue, I knew I would be getting it but my main motivation to do so was so I could use all those fabulous cloud dies to make scene cards.  I love them!  Fast forward to yesterday and I had the dies out as I used thought I might use them on my “Just a note to lift your spirits” cards.  Turns out I didn’t use them on that card after all but as I was tidying up I kept being drawn to them.   I thought about using them with the coordinating stamp set (you can also get both the stamps and dies in a bundle) but in the end I decided to keep things super simple.

There are a few different ways you can go to create the rainbow for the card below.  You could use the stamp and then cut out the image with the dies.  You could die cut each shape out of coloured cardstock.  Or, you could do what I did and die cut them all out of white cardstock and add your own colour.  I added colour to my die cut pieces with sponge daubers.  (Have I told you lately how much I love sponge daubers?)

My tip for you when using these dies is to add a sheet of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the cardstock before you run it through your Big Shot.  This way, your adhesive is already in place and it is super easy to assemble the rainbow.

Here’s the card…

Love You

Isn’t it sweet! You could easily add a different sentiment depending on the occasion.  Or you could add the top panel to a different colour base card – that could really look good!  So many ideas!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
