Make another pretty birthday card using patterned paper (Cottage Rose)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, a couple of days ago I shared a really pretty card featuring the beautiful Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper. As I had some more of the paper trimmed and ready to use I decided to make another card in the same style but I have changed it up just a little.

After trimming the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper into the size I wanted, I then coloured it with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. Wink of Stella was also added to the petals. I then added just a strip of the back side of the patterned paper to the edge of my main focal panel.

The card base was made from Crumb Cake cardstock. I sponged some Crumb Cake ink along the edges with a Blending Brush. I also did this to the inside of the card to tie the front and inside together. I adhered my main panel directly to the card front but you could pop it up if you wanted.

Like the previous card, the sentiment, from the Cottage Rose stamp set, was stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock. After trimming it into a strip I mounted it directly onto some of the patterned paper. I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back but before adhering it to the card, I added a length of Linen Thread. Love how this looks! Once again, I finished off the card with Petal Pink gems from the Elegant Faceted Gems pack.

Here’s the card…

This gorgeous paper from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper pack is definitely one of my favourites and I cannot wait to make more cards like this.
