Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #43: Sketch Challenge

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop

Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our June 2022 Blog Hop is a Sketch Challenge.

Here’s the Challenge…

I really had no idea what I would do for this challenge until I was about to fall asleep one night and I had a thought about using the lattice die from the Organic Beauty die set to create a unique border. That’s how this card came to be (and it fitted perfectly with this month’s theme).

I started by adding Adhesive Sheets to some Thick Basic White cardstock and die-cut the lattice a couple of times. I die-cut another piece that didn’t have adhesive on the back. I then layered the pieces together with the adhesive-free piece on the bottom. I used the scoring blade on the Paper Trimmer to score the lattice piece so I could easily fold the piece in half. I trimmed three pieces of Thick Basic White cardstock to the size necessary to create the rest of the card base. Next, I adhered the lattice to these panels with Liquid Adhesive. You could trim off the excess of the lattice die cut before attaching it as I did as I didn’t want it to be too bulky. Once the glue had dried I added another piece of cardstock to the back of the card, and I added some patterned paper from the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper pack to the front.

For my design, I chose to use the True Beauty bundle and I picked the colours from the colours in the Awash with Beauty suite. To be honest, while I used Polished Pink for one of the flowers as it was shown in the catalogue to be one of the colours in the suite, I don’t think this particular patterned paper is Polished Pink (or a shade of it). It looks closer to Blushing Bride. Still, I went with it for this card. I stamped off all of the images and used the second generation to create my card.

The circle die cut and the label die cut came from the Stylish Shapes die set. I love the stitching around the borders Such a nice detail.

I finished the card by adding some Wink of Stella to the flowers and then placed a few pearls around the card too.

Here’s the card…
