Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our July 2022 Blog Hop is an Anything Goes Challenge. For this challenge, we needed to make a project using anything new from the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue.
Here’s the Challenge…
This was such a fun challenge although it took me quite some time to decide on what stamp set I was going to use. As soon as I settled on Caroling Mice (which is the Host set from the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue) I was set. I couldn’t wait to create a scene with these gorgeous mice. Normally I’d say these coloured cards and scenes I make don’t take as long as you might think they do but, to be honest, this one did take me a while. It was so fun though!!
I started by stamping all the images I wanted from the Caroling Mice stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. After colouring them with Stampin’ Blends, I then fussy cut them out. I stamped the sentiment, from the Santa’s Delivery stamp set, in Sweet Sorbet and then used the Cloud Punch to cut it out. I punched out a couple more pieces to use in my background.
I grabbed the Gingerbread Houses dies and die-cut some white snow hills from Basic White cardstock. The fence from this same die set looked like it could be a good addition to my card so I added some Adhesive Sheets to the back of some Basic Gray cardstock and die cut it out. I’m so happy with how it looks! I also tore a strip of Basic White cardstock to go along the bottom of the card to help hide the joins of the snow hills.
Once everything was ready, it was time to assemble the card. I created the card base from Balmy Blue cardstock. I adhered everything bar the mice and the light directly to the card base. I popped up wth other elements with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish off the card, I added some Wink of Stella to the lamp, one of the scarves, the hats, and the base of the clouds. I also added some Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to create the look of a fluffy pom-pom. You could also add this to the ground where the mice are standing. I think it would look so cute!
I had such fun creating this card. I hope you enjoy it too!
Here’s the card…
