We’re Behind You All the Way (We Must Celebrate)

Hi, today I’m sharing a variation of the card I shared earlier this week. I so love creating scene cards with critters and the We Must Celebrate critters are just too cute! Once again, I have used quite a lot of products but you really don’t need to get as carried away as I have. The other thing to be aware of is that while this card might look a little complicated, it really isn’t. There’s no masking or fancy techniques. Just stamp, colour, cut, die cut, emboss, adhere and voila! you are done!

The critters were stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I created the scene using a circular background rather than a rectangular shape. I cut out the sky and grass using a circle die from the Layering Circle Framelits die set and the clouds and grass mound were cut from the dies in the Up & Away Thinlits die set.

I had layered a Memories & More card from the Petal Garden Card Pack onto an Olive Green cardstock base however when I placed the scene on top it just didn’t fill the space as I had hoped. It needed a bit of extra texture and a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock sent through the Big Shot in the new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (which you can currently earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration) was the perfect addition. I did sponge a bit of extra ink along the edges to make it look less stark. I finished off the card with an embossed sentiment and some silver metallic enamel dots.

Aren’t these critters adorable! Can you just imagine the different scenarios in which you can place them? The rabbit would be fabulous for Easter, for example. Have you used the critters in different ways?

Bella & Friends

You’ve got a friend in me (Bella & Friends)

Hi, the Bella & Friends stamp set is totally adorable. I’ve already made a couple of cards using this set (you can see them here). There are still so many cute images in this set waiting to be used. As well as the sweet stamps of Bella and her friends, there are also some lovely sentiments which could be used for many occasions. I love a stamp set which offers multiple possibilities within it.

For today’s card, I stamped the image and the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with my Stampin’ Blends. I matted the panel with some Crumb Cake cardstock. My plan was to place this panel directly on to the Tutti-Frutti card base but I felt it was a little too plain. I had some off-cuts of Crumb Cake which I had run through the new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (now available as an item you could earn for free during Sale-A-Bration). I thought these pieces would be a nice touch and wouldn’t overwhelm the small centre panel.

The last touch was to add a coat of Wink of Stella to Bella and her friend. I also used my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to colour a silver heart from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack as I wanted a lovely red heart to add a punch of colour.

Isn’t this darling! I LOVE colouring these images. I coloured Bella very simply but you could easily use different colours and styles (such as patches) to really personalise Bella for your recipient.

Occasions Petal Palette Sale-A-Bration Stampin' Blends

Best Wishes in Pool Party (Springtime Foils Specialty DSP/Petal Palette)

Hi, have I told you how GORGEOUS the new Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper is?! I’ve spent a little bit more time colouring the floral sheet with my Stampin’ Blends and I love the soft look you can achieve. Whilst I love Pink Pirouette, I thought it might be fun to try some other colours and the Pool Party looks fabulous! (So does the Calypso Coral, but I haven’t made that into a card yet!)

To create the card I am sharing today, I coloured in a few different flowers from the floral sheet which is part of the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. I cut them out and put them aside. Next, I grabbed a sheet of vellum and cut it to be slightly smaller than my card base. I placed this panel in the new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot. It looks SO good!

In order to hide my adhesive, I first adhered the coloured flowers on to the vellum sheet. Next, I flipped this panel over and placed adhesive in all the places covered by the flowers. I then stuck this panel to my Pool Party Cardstock base.

For the sentiment, I simply stamped the greeting in versamark ink and used gold embossing powder. I then popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card I added a few rhinestones.

I love how elegant this card is. It is so much prettier in person. It is difficult to capture the beauty of the foil on camera.

Blossoming Basket Sale-A-Bration

Here For You (Blossoming Basket Bundle)

Hi, if you saw my Facebook Live video yesterday you saw a sneak peek of the new Sale-A-Bration items which will be available from February 16, 2018. One of the new items is the Blossoming Basket Bundle which is made up a stamp set and embossing folder. The stamp set – Blossoming Basket – is only available during Sale-A-Bration. The Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder will be available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue but you have the chance to earn both for free during Sale-A-Bration.

The basket of flowers stamp in the Blossoming Basket stamp set is so fun to colour. I stamped out a sheet full of images and I’ve enjoyed colouring it in many different ways – both different colour combinations and using different colouring mediums.

For the card below, I coloured the images with Stampin’ Blends and finished with a coating of Wink of Stella on the flowers to add a little shimmer. I cut out and popped up the flower basket. I used the new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create the gorgeous textured background. (TIP: If you find that the cardstock is cracking, try spritzing the cardstock with water before running it through the Big Shot. You don’t need to get it too wet, just a little damp). I layered the images on a card base from the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes pack (which is another item you could earn for free during Sale-A-Bration). I sponged on a little more Calypso Coral ink and Cherry Cobbler ink to add a bit more texture.

To create the sentiment, I added Daffodil Delight ink and then sponged on some Calypso Coral ink and finished it off with Cherry Cobbler ink. (Unfortunately, you can’t really see the Daffodil Delight on my finished card). The last thing I added to the card was a bow of linen thread around the handle of the stamped basket.

Isn’t that a gorgeous stamp? I can’t wait to stamp some more and colouring it over and over again. Don’t forget, the Blossoming Basket Bundle will be available to select for qualifying orders during Sale-A-Bration from February 16, 2018.
