Using Bleach to colour your cards (Hand-Penned Petals)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, a couple of days ago I shared a card featuring the fun technique of painting with Bleach! Today, I am sharing another variation. It’s so fun, I couldn’t stop with just one card!

I am, again, using the Hand-Penned Petals bundle. It’s such a pretty stamp and dies set. The card was made in much the same way as the previous one except this time I heat-embossed the images with white embossing powder. After colouring the images with the bleach, I then added some Wink of Stella.

For the sentiment, I thought the die-cut piece needed something extra so I painted some bleach onto my stamp and then stamped the cardstock. If you do this, I recommend you immediately wash the bleach off. I don’t know how bleach might harm the photopolymer stamps if it is left on for any length of time.

I finished the card by adding some Denim ribbon and pearls.

Here’s the card…

Colouring and stamping with bleach is such a fun technique. I recommend you do test out your cardstock before you start as some cardstock react better than others. If you want to see a video showing how this technique works, check out this blog post.

All the products, excluding the bleach, that you need to create this card can be found in my online store.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!
