Whale Done! (Whale Done / CASE the Catalogue)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, have you all seen the super cute suite Whale of A Time?  It’s fantastic!  All of the components of this suite are available separately so you can pick and choose the parts that interest you.  There are a couple of things which I love about the suite – the colour combinations used for the Whale of a Time papers is rich and luscious, the Whale Done stamp designs are different so you can make them appear more childlike or put an adult feel to them.  Of course, the sentiments are adorable – who doesn’t love a pun?!  The coordinating Whale punch is fantastic and you can punch out some of the paper designs or you can build your own whale.  It’s pretty fun!  The Whale Done Stamps and the Whale Punch can also be purchased as a bundle for a 10% discount.  That’s pretty cool too!

When browsing through the catalogue the samples displayed for this set totally captured my attention too.  I knew I would be CASE-ing a couple of them.  CASE means Copy And Share Everything.  Sometimes I copy a design faithfully like I have done today and sometimes I switch it up a lot.  Just remember if you do CASE a design, you must give credit to the original designer.

Here’s my card

It’s super cute, isn’t it?  It was fun (and easy) piecing the whale together too.  I think it might also be fun to add some Whale of a Time Sequins to look like water bubbles.  Something for next time!

I do have a TIP for how I created the banner.  I would usually use the Triple Banner Punch to create the flag ends however this time the panel I used was too wide for the punch.  Instead of trying to measure the centre and cut up to it on each side, which I never get even, I turned to the Tailored Tag Punch.  I positioned the punch in the centre, punched out the shape and then used my Paper Snips to cut off the edges.  So easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
