All the news from OnStage Melbourne 2018

Hi everyone, I have just returned from OnStage Melbourne which was held on Saturday 10 November 2018 at the Melbourne Park Function Centre.  It was such a FUN day!  I was able to meet up with a couple of very close friends, Melissa (who is also my upline and team leader of The Happy Camper Stampers) and Jo-Ann (who doesn’t have a blog but really should as she is so talented not only in paper crafting but other crafts such as embroidery).

What is OnStage?

OnStage happens twice a year in April and November and it coincides with the release of the Annual Catalogue (April OnStage) and the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Catalogue (November OnStage).  They occur in different locations across the globe and are fabulous!  At these events, demonstrators come together to meet, share ideas, cards, business hints and tips (for those business minded) but we also receive the upcoming catalogue before everyone else.  We are also spoilt with gifts.  This year, as Stampin’ Up! is celebrating their 30th Anniversary we were spoilt even more than usual.  (All of my goodies didn’t fit in my suitcase to bring them home)!  Would you love to have a sneak peek at what I received?

Registration opened at 7.30am and we were there in plenty of time to check in.  At Registration, you receive an envelope and you could pick up any logo wear clothing you had ordered. (I ordered a very simple but lovely grey hoodie). In the envelope, you found your name badge, your lunch pass, and ribbons which show your achievements over the past six months.  You might also have received a letter (for those who promoted or demonstrated particular sales, recruiting or leadership accomplishments).  If you received a letter it stated whether you would be marching (walking onto the stage) or standing and waiving to acknowledge your achievements.

At our tables, there was a beautiful box at each place…

30th birthday box

Upon opening the box we were blessed with gifts in the form of a lanyard, number badge (for prize patrol), notebooks and pens, a reversible tote (which is lovely!), a stamp set (Amazing Life) and a make-n-take kit.

Tote

In total, I received four new stamp sets including two of the new Cling Stamp Sets.  You are going to love these!  Simply attach the decal to the foam of a red rubber set and it will stick to the acrylic block without any issues!  They work reallly well.  Just be sure to follow the instructions when you apply the decal.

Occasions New Releases

One of the surprises of the day was the gift of a small and portable Tool Case. Fun to throw a few items in if you are travelling.

We also received another portable tote.  I love that it folds away and becomes so compact.

We did four make-n-takes (I’ll be sharing these projects at another time) and at the end of the day we were permitted to divvy up and take home most of what was in the kit.  I recevied lengths of a number of the new ribbons and twine, a stamp set (the Geared Up Garage set shown above) and a couple of barely used ink pads.

Of course, I know you are hanging out to know if we received the new catalogues and yes, we definitely did!

Don’t the covers always look so inspiring?!  Let me assure you the inside only continues to inspire but … I cannot show you the inside pages for now.  Demonstrators will receive their copy in December (and can start ordering then) but customers will not be able to order until January.  (If you cannot wait, please consider joining my team).

Thanks for hanging with me through to the end.  I still have so much more to share with you including the make-n-takes we did and the cards and projects I received from the swaps.  All I can say is that it was such a fun and inspirational day!  If you ever get the opportunity to attend, please take it, it is totally worth it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
