Art Gallery Inspired by Punch Party Sale-A-Bration

Four gorgeous cards inspired by Patty Bennett (Art Gallery / Punch Party)

Hi everyone, one of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator is that I am able to join a Facebook group that is only for Demonstrators. As part of this group, Demonstrators share everything from business ideas to card ideas. I love seeing all the amazing talent which is out there. It is SO inspiring!

A couple of days ago, Patty Bennett (one of the top Demonstrators in the USA) shared some cards and I loved them! I asked whether she wouldn’t mind if I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) them and she graciously said yes!

To create these cards, I used the Art Gallery and Punch Party stamp sets, and the beautiful Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper.

The really cool thing about these cards is that I’ve used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks with the Blending Brushes to add additional detail to the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper. It looks so good!

Another tip for these cards is to use Stampin’ Blends to colour the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets so they match the colour scheme. This is such a fun and easy way to make sure everything coordinates. I love doing this!

On a couple of the cards, I added some of the Gilded Leafing. My big tip for this is to make sure that your ink is dry before you add the Versamark. If you don’t, when you sprinkle the Heat & Stick Powder on the image, it will go everywhere and not just where you want it to go. Also, don’t overheat the powder. You want it to stay tacky so that you can press the gold leaf on it and it will stick. (You can see I botched a couple of my images but shhh! don’t tell anyone.) Also, with regards to the Gilded Leafing, make sure you don’t have a fan on as this stuff will go everywhere. I recommend actually doing it in a box so you can contain it more easily.

Berry Blessings Sale-A-Bration Sweet Strawberry

Hi everyone, can you believe there are only six (6) days until Sale-A-Bration is over? So sad! I’ve loved getting my extra free goodies with my orders. Today, I am sharing a card that was inspired by a card featured in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. It features the Berry Blessings stamp set, which is a Sale-A-Bration freebie, and the Sweet Strawberry stamp set which was released as part of the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue release.

To create the card, all you need to do is stamp the different lined images all over a panel of Basic White cardstock. Use solid images to add colour. If you don’t love to colour, these stamps are for you. They are both two-step stamp sets. This means there is a line stamp and the coordinating solid stamp. It makes it quick and easy to whip up a fun background.

I decided to go with Pacific Point for the cardstock base, the twine (which is just white twine dyed blue), and the sentiment as I felt I needed to balance the blue. If I had three sets of blueberries or even partial sets of blueberries, they would have been balanced but as it stood, they looked a little off-kilter. The sentiment helped ground the piece.

I hope you will give this fun card a try. You could easily sit down and stamp up a whole pile of backgrounds and just add the sentiments when you need a specific card. Both the Berry Blessings and Sweet Strawberry stamp sets have lovely sentiments.

Birthdays Pretty Perennials Sale-A-Bration

Hi everyone, for many years I could have been classed as a Paper Hoarder. I had shelves of gorgeous patterned paper. I had the perception that if I used it I might mess it up, or find a project I liked better to use it on. The problem was that this gorgeous paper never got off the shelf and onto my projects. Of course, it was compounded by the fact that new paper was being released regularly and there’s always something I thought ‘might be better’. What a waste! Nowadays I make sure I use my papers. The awesome thing about the Stampin’ Up! paper packs is that there are multiples of the different designs. This means some I can leave whole for scrapbooking 12×12 pages, others, I cut up for card bases, and others again, I can die cut or fussy cut out the images. And you know what? I can always buy more if I find that I am using lots of one of the paper packs. I love actually using these gorgeous papers.

Today’s card features the gorgeous Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. This is a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration reward and could be yours for FREE with a qualifying order. I used the paper in a couple of ways. I cut a strip to add to my card base. I also fussy cut out the flower and foliage images to create a cluster around my stamped sentiment (which is from the Pretty Perennials stamp set).

You might be able to notice the pattern on the Night of Navy cardstock base. I added some of the stamps from the Pretty Perennials stamp set into a cluster on one block and then stamped it in Versamark all over the background. You could also use the Night of Navy ink if you want a stronger tone on tone look.

As I am totally crushing on the new Sale-A-Bration item Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, that was my go-to for this challenge. It is such a gorgeous paper as it is but I couldn’t help myself, I had to cut it up and use it a little differently. I’m still crushing on a Night of Navy so that had to be used as well. The sentiment comes from another Sale-A-Bration stamp set called A Touch of Ink. It’s such a sweet set! Okay, let’s go see what everyone else has been making…

Sale-A-Bration Simply Succulents Technique Thank you

Hi everyone, today I am sharing one of my favourite card types to make. It is so easy to make but I think it looks so effective and it is a good way to show off all that gorgeous patterned paper we all have! All you need is an assortment of paper, craft punch and a stamp set with a nice sentiment. I’ve chosen the Sale-A-Bration paper called Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, the Tailored Tag punch and the Simply Succulents stamp set.

Simply use the Tailored Tag punch and punch out lots of different pieces of patterned paper. Then position these punched out items on a second piece of cardstock. You can lay out the design before you stick it down, or just wing it as I do. Once all the pieces are stuck down, trim off the edges and cut the panel to the size you want. I decided to pop up this panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was inked up with Versamark and then stamped on to a strip of Night of Navy cardstock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. The Banners Punch made it easy to add a banner end to this strip. The final touch was a few scattered pearls.

Designer Series Paper Heal Your Heart Sale-A-Bration Thank you

Hi everyone, now that you’ve had a chance to check out the new January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, do you have any favourites? One of the items which I loved from the outset is the True Love Designer Series Paper. I love the Black and White geometric look which goes with just about anything but I also love that you can colour and fussy cut out some of the floral images on the reverse side. That’s what I’ve done here! With only one sheet of paper, I’ve used one side to create the background of my card and the other side, I’ve coloured and cut out the flower images to create the focal point of the card.

The sentiment comes from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Heal Your Heart (this can be yours for free with a qualifying $90 order). I simply embossed the image with white embossing powder and then fussy cut it out. The final touch to the card was to add some of the new Matte Black Dots.

To step the card up a bit, you could pop up wth flowers with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. You could also add a coat of Wink of Stella to add a little more interest.
