Thank You (Best Year Bundle / CASE the Catalogue)

by Kylie

Hi everyone,  today I’m sharing two cards which I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  As soon as I saw this card, the Best Year Bundle jumped on to my “must-have” list. I had to recreate it fairly faithfully too as it was such a gorgeous design.  If you have the catalogue, you can see the original card in question on page 133.

I wasn’t 100% sure of all the items they used to create the card, and I did switch out the sentiment (as I needed some Thank You cards) but it is otherwise a fairly faithful recreation.

My biggest tip for creating this card is to put Adhesive Sheets on the back of the paper which is die-cut with the Best Plaid Builder Dies.  It is SO much easier to get all the ends to stick perfectly.  If you don’t want to add it to the bottom part, at least do it for the part which goes on the top- you won’t regret it!

I used paper from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper to create the background.  The flowers were fussy cut from paper in the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Pack.  It really didn’t take too long to cut the flowers on.  Just crank up some music, or put a show on TV and you’ll get through it in no time.

Here’s the first card…

For the first card, I thought the Concept Artist may have used Gray Granite for the sentiment (which is from the Best Year stamp set) so that is what I used.  For the second card, I’ve used Basic Gray.  Which do you prefer? I prefer the darker Basic Gray ink.

Here’s the second card…

They are such pretty cards! I really enjoyed making the cards too.  They look even better in real life.

The Best Year Bundle is awesome, isn’t it?!  It is also something you might choose to get for FREE (yes, that’s right – FREE) if you decided to sign up with Stampin’ Up! before 30 June 2020.  There’s no pressure to run a business but if you want to get your products at a discounted price – now’s the time to sign up.  All new Demonstrators get their choice of a Stamp and Die Bundle or a Stamp and Punch Bundle – for FREE!  How fantastic is that?!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
