You Will Always Be My Forever (Embrace Each Moment)

by Kylie

Hi Everyone, can you believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner? My partner and I usually don’t celebrate it. Having said that, I do give him a card and a small gift each year. This year we won’t be together as he is away for work. I know a lot of you are also unable to celebrate in your usual way. My heart goes out to you all. I’m thinking of those of you in Victoria heading into yet another Lockdown. Here’s hoping this Lockdown will only be for 5 days!!

For my card, I used the Embrace Every Moment stamp set. It really is such a beautiful set! I’ve been wanting to create with it for the longest time. Yesterday, I stamped and coloured all the images using Stampin’ Blends. The next step was to start turning them into cards.

For today’s card, after colouring the main image, I stamped and cut out a mask from a Post-It note. I then used the new Blending Brushes (which I LOVE) and some Rococo Rose ink to create a warm dusty pink background.

I then turned to the Stamparatus. Position your Basic White Cardstock in the Stamparatus, add your stamp to the lid and ink it up with Rococo Rose ink. Stamp it down. Next up, clean the stamp. Use your Black Stampin’ Write Marker and colour the “You Will” and “Be My” words on the stamp. Stamp again. The black will completely cover the Rococo Rose ink. I find this the easiest way to create a dual colour sentiment.

Both the sentiment and the cute couple were die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.

To pull it all together, I added a sheet of patterned paper from the Oh So Ombre paper pack (this could be yours for free with a qualifying order this month). I felt then it could be a little too much pink on pink so I added a torn strip of vellum to soften it a little.

The final touch was to add some white Resin Hearts Embellishment. I coloured one in with the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Marker to tie it in with the rest of the card.

It’s such a pretty image, isn’t it? I think it would be perfect for a Wedding or Engagement Congratulations card too.

And, just a reminder Sale-A-Bration finishes at the end of February 2021 (in previous years it used to run through March but this has now changed) so if you are keen to pick up some of the Limited Edition Free Sale-A-Bration offerings, now is the time to do so.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
