Thinking of You with all my Heart (Peaceful Moments / True Love DSP)

Hi everyone, today we continue our feature on making pretty cards with the beautiful True Love Designer Series Paper. This card is very simple and you could easily whip up a few, for any occasion, to have on hand.

To start, decide on the colour you’d like to make this card. I love Pool Party so that’s the colour I chose but you could choose almost any colour and I think it would look good. Start by making your card base from Pool Party cardstock. Next, take two sheets of True Love Designer Series Paper. The first is a layering sheet which you will really only see a few millimetres so if you want to conserve your paper you could just cut a strip and have this poke out from under the top panel.

For the top panel, choose one of the floral papers from the True Love Designer Series Paper packs. With your Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, colour the background. That’s all! We aren’t colouring the flowers themselves (although you could add a wash of Wink of Stella as I’ve done on my card). Layer this coloured piece on top of your card and now you are ready for your sentiment.

The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. It was then die cut with a scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. You can also see just a hint of Basic White cardstock behind this sentiment panel. This was die cut with another die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set.

I added some ribbons (Black Ribbon Organdy and Flowers for Every Season) to the sentiment panel and then finished off the card with some Black Matte Dots.

This card was super quick and easy to make and I think you’ll love creating it too.

Happy Birthday (Peaceful Moments / True Love DSP)

Hi everyone, today we are continuing our feature on making cards with the absolutely fabulous True Love Designer Series Paper. I am sharing a project inspired by a card featured in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. You can see the original on page 10. This card is actually very quick and easy to make. The part which will take the most time is the fussy cutting of the flowers from the patterned paper but really it won’t take you that long.

To create this card, add a panel of the beautiful True Love DSP to a Basic Black cardstock base. Die-cut a panel of Vellum with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set and layer this on top of your panel. As you can generally see adhesive through vellum, you might want to wait to adhere this piece until you are sure where everything is going to go. That way you can hide the adhesive.

The sentiment comes from the lovely Peaceful Moments stamp set. This is a great set as it has a sentiment for almost any occasion. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. It was then punched out with the Everyday Label Punch. The flowers were coloured Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with Granny Apple Green. Of course, you can use any colours you prefer and any colouring medium. A coat of Wink of Stella was added to the flowers to give them a pretty shimmer. These were then fussy cut and added to the panel.

Hi everyone, today I am sharing another card featuring the very lovely True Love Designer Series Paper. It is, in my opinion, the best paper pack in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. I cannot stop creating with it. I know it will be a favourite of yours too.

I’ve paired this beautiful paper with the coordinating Forever & Always bundle (stamps and dies are also available separately). It’s such a pretty bundle and I also really love the die strips you can cut. It makes it so easy to create the perfect sentiment strip.

For this card, I used two papers from the True Love Designer Series Paper pack – the black dots on white paper and one of the floral designs. The polka dot paper became the background. The other paper I coloured with Soft Sea Foam and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut them out and adhered them to the background. I also added a coat of Wink of Stella to give them that pretty shimmer.

To make it easier to pop up the Always sentiment I added Foam Adhesive to the cardstock before running it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Depending on your die-cutting machine, you might need to run the die through a couple of times but it does cut smoothly. The Always sentiment is from the Always dies set.

Forever & Always (Always & Forever / True Love DSP)

Hi everyone, I was tidying up the dinner table as I had craft supplies everywhere.  (Can you relate?!) We currently cannot use the dining table at our temporary accommodation as I have taken it over with crafting goodies.  As I was tidying I realised I had quite a lot of images coloured from one of the patterned papers from the True Love Designer Series Paper.  I usually gather these extra pieces together and put them in a clear envelope with the stamp set but decided to make another card instead.

As the True Love DSP is part of the Love You Always suite, I decided to pair it with the Forever & Always bundle which is also part of this suite.

I totally love this paper and have already ordered a second pack.  It can be used for so many different projects…well, I will be using for lots of different projects once I stop colouring all those gorgeous flower images!

StampingPals Challenge #11 | Colour Challenge

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the StampingPals Challenge for January 2021.  This month we have a colour challenge.  I really loved the colour combination we have this month.  We had to use Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight.  You can also add a neutral – Basic Black, Very Vanilla or Whisper White.

These colours automatically made me think of nature and the Forever & Always stamp set was sitting on my table so…that was definitely going to be the stamp set I decided to use.  I actually love the look of the blue flowers for something a little different.
