May Your Birthday Be Memorable (Timeless Tropical)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing another card featuring the beautiful Timeless Tropical stamp set and the coordinating In the Tropics dies.  Since I’ve been stamping the images with the Early Espresso ink, I’ve found that I have been using the stamp set more often.  If you find that you are not using one of your stamp sets because you cannot get it to look like you think it should play around with the ink colour you stamp it with.  I tend to use the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for most line art stamps (as distinct from the solid images).  I couldn’t achieve a look I was happy with when stamping the images from Timeless Tropical with black ink and as soon as I swapped colours things just worked!

The stamped images were coloured with Stampin’ Blends (aside from the Plumeria which I coloured with the Bumblebee  Stamp ‘n Write Marker) and this time I went for a softer look.  It’s so pretty!  The paper from the In Good Taste added just a little extra bit of interest to the card design, as did a sprinkling of Rhinestones.

Here’s the card

It’s such a great stamp set to colour.  The coordinating die set offers opportunities to create with die cuts on their own too.  So fun! So versatile!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
