Hi everyone, while it may be spring here, I love autumn – in fact, it is my favourite season. Today, I thought I would combine the two by using the Fond of Autumn Bundle but giving it, I think, a little more of a spring twist by the colours I’ve chosen. I’m also going to CASE the Catalogue for this card as I love the samples shared on page 52 of the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue.
I started by creating a card base from Crumb Cake cardstock. I also cut another panel to the size of the card front. To create the background of the card I used the detail die in the Autumn Bouquet die set. TIP: In order to cut all the intricate details out, I needed to add an extra piece of cardstock to my cutting sandwich and run it through multiple times.
I stamped the largest image from the Fond of Autumn stamp set on Basic White cardstock four times and coloured them with Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I then die cut them using the die which cuts out the image into separate pieces.
For the sentiment, I took a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and stamped the banner and the sentiment (also from the Fond of Autumn stamp set) with Versamark ink. I then white heat-embossed the sentiment before die-cutting with the banner die from the Autumn Bouquet die set.
It was then time to assemble the card. With two of the die-cut flower pieces, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered them to the card. I did the same with the sentiment piece. With the third of the die-cut pieces, I chopped it up and added the elements directly to the card.
To finish the card, I added a bow of Linen Thread and also added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.
In case you are wondering what I did with the fourth coloured and die-cut flower piece, I placed this on the inside of the card on top of of a panel of Basic White cardstock.
Here’s the card…
I am so happy with this card and I love the colours. What colours would you choose?
