Thank You Photo Card (Eclectic Expressions)

by Kylie
Thank You

Hi, as regular readers of my blog will know my dog Zac recently passed away.  I wanted to send a note to the Vet Clinic for taking such good care of Zac during his life, and particularly in the week leading up to his passing.  I thought it would be a lot more personal to include a photograph of Zac.  Instead of including the picture inside the card I decided his picture would be the focal point of the card.

You don’t need a lot of supplies to create a card like this, nor do you need a lot of time.  The other cool thing about this design is that you could also use this technique for scrapbooking (and pocket page scrapbooking in particular).

Simply take a photograph you like and adhere it to a card base.  Emboss a sentiment on a strip of coordinating cardstock.  Trim to size and use the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end.  Add the silver heart from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack.  Add the sentiment to the photograph and you are done!

Here’s the card…

Thank You

Now firstly, wasn’t my Zac a cute dog?  Miss him terribly and cannot believe it has been 6 weeks since he crossed the rainbow bridge.  I know a few of my readers have recently been in a similar situation.  It is such a heartbreaking time.  I hope you are getting through as best you can.

Secondly, isn’t it a nice and simple way to create a greeting card (or to use on a scrapbook page).  I hope you’ll give it a try!

Oh my dear, darling friend. He is a cutie pie. I know your heart is still heavy, but you’ve memorialized him beautifully with this card. Your Vet Clinic will be so touched to receive this card. It is beautiful. I’m thinking of you and am sending you a million virtual hugs. xoxoxo
