I have three similar cards to share today. They all follow the same design style I’ve been favouring lately but I was experimenting with different colour combinations. I hope you’ll enjoy these cards as well.

Here’s the first card…

The above card features a length of Braided Linen Trim (147808) which will be available from 5 September 2018. It’s lovely!

For the next card, I popped up the centre panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give a little extra dimension and interest.

And for the final card I really just wanted to see how the Poppy Parade and Call Me Clover Stampin’ Blends looked together. They look fabulous! Would be great for Christmas too.

Blended Seasons Watercolor Pencils

Hi, are you all loving the new limited edition Blended Seasons stamp set? And how gorgeous are those coordinating dies? The labels are wonderful with the stitched edges. I have created a lot of cards using this bundle – and I have only just started to scratch the surface. I’m so sad there are only a few days left to get it! That’s right, it leaves us forever at the end of August. So sad! Today’s card uses this set as well as the new Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2. At this stage, I cannot confirm whether or not the Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 will be available in the future. Stampin’ Up! is keeping that pretty quiet for now. I sure hope they are!

Today’s card is actually a CASE of one of the samples provided by Stampin’ Up! I loved it so much I *had* to recreate it. (CASE means Copy And Share Everything. If you see a card you like, feel free to copy it but do give credit where credit is due especially if posting online).

I decided not to use watercolour paper for this card, instead choosing the gorgeous shimmery white cardstock. I inked up the floral image with Gray Granite ink and then stamped it off once on some scrap paper before stamping again on my cardstock panel. I wanted a really soft outline. I used the Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 (and a couple of colours from the original Watercolour Pencils set) to colour in the image and then blended with an aqua painter (you could also use Blender Pens). Such a soft and pretty look.

To make the card base I took a sheet of Balmy Blue cardstock (one of the new colours in the range) and cut it to size. I positioned the die where I wanted it and ran it through the Big Shot. I can use the piece which was cut out for a future project. I stamped the leaves with the coordinating Balmy Blue ink. I love that tone on tone look. While my Big Shot was out I also cut out some leaves from Granny Apply Green cardstock (another of the new colours). The sentiment was stamped on some Whisper White cardstock and the Banner Triple Punch was the perfect tool to add a little more interest. Once all these pieces were cut and stamped, all that was left was to assemble the card. Let’s take a look.
