Create a birthday card using Patterned Paper (Perfectly Pencilled DSP / Cottage Rose)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, today I am sharing another card created with the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper. These papers are so gorgeous. I love colouring them, cutting them up and popping them on my cards. This card features one of the full flower images (although I did snip away part of the design).

Okay, this is a super simple card. I created a card base from Thick Basic White cardstock. I then cut a panel of regular Basic White cardstock and embossed it with the Stitched Greenery die. This die is fabulous for adding a little more interest to a background!

Next, I coloured the Perfectly Pencilled patterned paper with Stampin’ Blends – Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Fresh Freesia. After cutting the images out, I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Of course, I had to add some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

For the sentiment, I wanted to keep it simple so I went with the traditional white heat-embossing on Basic Black cardstock. The sentiment is from the Cottage Rose stamp set. I trimmed this to size and snipped the strip in half so that I could stack the pieces. The final touch was to add some of the lovely Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Here’s the card…

This was such a fun card to make. and I love how the flowers pop right off the card. I know you’ll have fun colouring the images in the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper pack if you like colouring.
