Happy Birthday (Seaside Notions / Forever Greenery DSP / Tailored Tag Punch)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, earlier this week I shared a card and technique video using the Tailored Tag punch.  It was actually inspired by the card I made for my Mum for her birthday at the start of this month.

For Mum’s card, I used papers from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper pack.  These papers are so beautiful (and they are currently on Sale!).  I used the Tailored Tag Punch to punch out lots of pieces which I then pieced together on a panel of Whisper White Cardstock.  I added a few gold leaf embellishments from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  I also trimmed off a strip of gold from this paper to add to the card.  The card needed a bit more of a break between the paper, gold embellishments and the sentiment so I added a couple of leaves (from the Forever Flourishing dies) which I die cut from Vellum.  The sentiment comes from the Seaside Notions stamp set.  It’s such a great font, isn’t it?!

Here’s the card

This is such a simple card to make!  Pick out a few papers you like, punch the shapes out and then piece them together leaving a small gap.  I do hope you’ll give it a try!
