Stampin’ Creative Global Blog Hop – March 2022 – Fun Folds

by Kylie

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Global Blog Hop! Each month a few Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world come together to inspire! Currently, you’re visiting the blog of Kylie at Stampers Workshop in Australia! Thanks so much for hopping with us!

The theme for our March 2022 Blog Hop is Fun Folds.

There are so many different, fabulous and fun folds that we can create but my favourite, and my go-to, is the good old Z-fold. It’s easy and it looks so good. All you need to do is fold your card base as you usually would and then fold the top piece in half, back towards the folded edge. You can also step up this card if you want, but as a basic card, you cannot go wrong.

I had so much fun with this fold, and colouring the gorgeous hydrangea from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set, that after I had made my card…I made another!

For both cards, I used the Hydrangea Haven bundle. I started by stamping the hydrangea and colouring it with Stampin’ Blends. I then die cut the image using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. At the same time, I also die cut two scalloped rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. One can be placed on the top of the card, and one directly underneath it in the middle of the card.

Next, I created the card base. For the first card, I used Highland Heather and I embossed the top part of the card with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. I added a piece of paper from the Subtles 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack to the centre. I added a rectangle die cut to the top of the card, and also to the middle. The hydrangea was then popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers. Gotta add some shimmer!

The sentiment was white heat-embossed on some Highland Heather cardstock and then die cut with the Hydrangea dies. I added it to the card and tied a bow from White Baker’s Twine. The final touch was to add some Pearls which I coloured with the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends marker.

Here’s the first card…

The second card was created in much the same way except I used the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the top fold. The patterned paper is from the All Together 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack. The pearls were coloured with the Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends marker.

Here’s the second card…

The Z-Fold card is a simple card to make but it is easy! So easy you could whip up two cards in the one crafting session just like I did! I hope you’ll give it a go for yourself! Thanks so much for visiting my blog on the hop!

Let’s continue on the hop…

Here are all the other participants in the hop today…
