It’s Your Day (A Good Man)

Hi everyone! The A Good Man stamp set is one of my go-to stamp sets to use for masculine cards. I’ve used it for Father’s Day, for my nephews birthday and now I am using it again for my partners birthday card. It’s his birthday today and this image reminds me of him. He’s so casual and relaxed. I’m also excited as we get to spend his birthday today. Usually, he is away at work for our special occasions.

I coloured the image with my Stampin’ Blends and then teamed the finished image with a sheet of paper from the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. I think the images work together perfectly.

Here’s the Card…

I’d usually add a bit of bling to finish off the card but this time I turned to the In The Tropics dies to add a few leaves to finish off the design.

Masculine On To Adventure

Ready for that HOLE-IN-ONE? (On To Adventure / Country Club DSP)

Hi everyone, at OnStage (a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator only event) in November last year, I received a packet of the Country Club Designer Series Paper. It’s been sitting in my stash unloved all this time. I don’t know why! It is fabulous for making masculine cards, or cards for the golfer (male or female) in your life.

One of the things I love most about the Country Club Designer Series Paper is that because it has line drawings on one of the sheets you can actually just cut it up to quickly and easily make 9 cards! Of course, the paper pack has two sheets of each design so you could effectively make 18 cards without needing a stamp set! So awesome. You only need a sentiment to go with it. Now, the paper is part of a suite called Country Club and this suite has some awesome coordinating stamps and dies (available as a bundle) too. I currently don’t have the rest of the suite so I chose to use a sentiment from the On to Adventure stamp set (which also features a golfer stamp).

As I love to colour I coloured in the images but if colouring isn’t your thing, they look awesome just as black and white images. I cannot believe I left this paper go unused for so long. It’s actually pretty great!

A Good Man Birthdays Masculine

Hi everyone, yesterday was my Dad’s birthday so I, of course, had to make him a card. The A Good Man stamp set was the perfect choice. I loved the image of the dad with his daughter so I coloured it to represent us back when I was young…and he had hair. haha Shh! Don’t tell him I wrote that!

I was inspired by the sample in the catalogue to use paper from the Neutrals 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack as my background. I paired it with a Come Sail Away Memories & More Card which I had cut to size.

One Wild Ride

Congratulations (One Wild Ride)

Hi everyone, a lot of cardmakers I know struggle with making masculine themed cards. I can definitely fall into this category. I get caught up creating floral cards, or cutesy cards. Now there are always guys who appreciate those kinds of cards but some don’t. haha The One Wild Ride set is fantastic for masculine cards (of course, you can still use it for women too!). This stamp set is retiring at the end of the catalogue period and I am going to be sad to say goodbye to it. I’ve used it quite a bit.

I’ve teamed the One Wild Ride stamp set with the awesome Classic Garage patterned papers (also retiring soon).

Animal Outing Masculine Postcard Pals

A Masculine Card (Postcard Pals/Animal Outing)

Hi everyone, I’ve been posting a lot of floral cards recently because I’ve been adoring the Lovely Lattice stamp set but of course, there are times when floral images just aren’t the right look. Today’s card is what I would classify as a more masculine card. I’ve still used a cute image but with the card design and the colours used it is much more appropriate for the guys in your life. The Postcard Pals stamp set featuring my favourite little otter critter is the focus of this card. Isn’t he darling?!

Here’s the card…

I love to colour. Stampin’ Blends really do make it easy to achieve a good look when you use both the light and dark shades. Don’t be put off by the seemingly huge list of products used to create this card. I always list all the options available to you so you have choices and make the best decisions for your budget.
