Hi everyone, inspired by yesterday’s Stampers Anonymous October Blog Hop I created another card using the colours from our Colour Challenge – Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Pretty Peacock. I stayed with the Love of Leaves stamp set paired it with the “Thanks!” sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set (this is such a good all-round stamp set to have in your collection).
This card is actually super simple to create. Stamp the leaves across a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock in Pretty Peacock, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry. Next use the Stitched Leaves dies to add the veins of the leaves. Spatter some Pretty Peacock ink over the panel (and be careful how you do this as the ink travels a very long way!). I layered this panel on a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock which I had die cut with a die from the Ornate Borders die set. This panel was then attached to a Pretty Peacock cardstock base. I used the Stitched Leaves dies on this base to create a really interesting stitched look.
The final step was to heat emboss the sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set and add this to the cardstock panel. A few Champagne rhinestones completed the look.

It’s funny – when I was first shown this colour combination I didn’t love it. I’ve now made two cards with it and whilst I confess they are not my favourite cards, they are okay. I challenge you to step outside of your colour comfort zone. Try some new combinations (try this one!) and just see what happens!
