StampingPals Challenge #1: Colour Challenge

by Kylie

Hi everyone!  Today I am participating in the first-ever challenge through the StampingPals Challenge Blog.  I developed the StampingPals Challenge blog with my friends Melissa Gifford and Jill Arenovski.  I have really enjoyed participating in challenges through Stampers Anonymous and Kylie’s International Training Group.  I wanted a place where other people could join in too and we could build a really fun, warm and inspirational community.  I would LOVE it if you would spread the word AND play along with us!

The first StampingPals Challenge is a Colour Challenge.  Our colours are Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody.  We can also add Whisper White, Basic Black or Very Vanilla as our neutral.

Here’s our Challenge…

I love these colours but they are super bright.  They also lend themselves to creating flowers.  I grabbed my favourite Forever Blossoms and went to town colouring.  I had started colouring the leaves first using the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends when I realised Melon Mambo is not currently available in the Stampin’ Blends range.  Oops!  No way was I going to throw away the work I had already done.  I simply grabbed the Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write marker, my Aqua Painter and started to paint the petals instead.  It came up so well and really softened the appearance of the Melon Mambo.  This is also how I dyed the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

Here’s my card

I really love this card! It is so pretty in real life.  I loved this challenge and I hope you will too.  Please stop by the StampingPals blog and play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie

Hi Kylie, it’s a while since I contacted you but love your cards on your blog. I’ve just entered your new challenge but because I don’t have a blog my entry is under moderation. The photo is on my Pinterest page, Ruth’s Handmade Creations. Anyway, I’ve enjoyed the challenge and hope lots of people enter!

Hi Ruth,
Lovely to hear from you. I’m so pleased you’ve entered. I’m away for the night but I’ll review it tomorrow. It was a fun challenge for me too so I’m glad you enjoyed it as well. Thanks very much!
