You’re How Old? (Crazy Dogs / Crazy Talk / Crazy Things)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, I am sharing a cheeky and interactive card using the Crazy Dogs, Crazy Talk, and Crazy Things stamp sets from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.

Start by selecting your desired dog stamp from the Crazy Dogs stamp set. Get two sheets of white cardstock and add them to your Misti. Stamp the dog body on each piece of cardstock and then again on a large Post-It Note or Masking Sheet. Cut out the dog and place it over the already stamped image. Return it to the Misti. Choose the party hat from the Crazy Things stamp set. Position it on the dog’s head and stamp. Repeat for the second piece of cardstock.

Stamp the balloon string to the main panel and one of the balloons from the Crazy Things stamp set. Stamp another balloon on a separate sheet of cardstock.

Use your preferred colouring medium to bring your furry friend, and the balloons, to life. I also added a little dash on the nose with the White Uni-Ball Signo Pen.

Fussy cut the head/party hat off one dog, and the spare balloon. Next, die cut the main panel with the Stitched Rectangles dies from Stampin’ Up!®. I then cut a mat from Poppy Parade Cardstock (from Stampin’ Up!®) and mounted the main focal panel to this.

The card base was prepared from the same cardstock and I layered a piece of patterned paper from an old, retired Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper pack to the top. The main panel was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Crazy Talk stamp set, was stamped with Versamark on Poppy Parade cardstock and then white heat embossed with the Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder. I trimmed it to size and adhered it to my card front.

Next, and my favourite part of the card, was to add an Action Wobbler to the back of the dog’s head before adhering the other side to the main focal panel. So cute!!! The final touch was to add some shimmer with the Close to My Heart Clear Shimmer Brush.

Here’s the card…

See it move…

I think the Action Wobbler makes this card so fun! What do you think? Do you like to create cards with moving pieces?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
